I have a flyer made up, but how should I use it to maximize my exposure in the area? Any suggestions will be helpful…

Lawn care is similar to what I do, vendor service to used car dealers (touch up paint, bumpers, headlight repairs).

What I would say is do what I do, focus on keeping things close to keep costs down yet while keeping profits high. You are like me, if we are driving, we are not making money. So the key is to make as much as possible once we park.

How can you do this? Very simply the same way I do, free demo’s. And since times are tight right now, anything free is a huge item.

So say you do the Jones yard on a street. Do you do the Smith’s to the left or the Johnson’s on the right? Why not? Just knock and offer a card, flyer and offer a free yard trim to see how they like it. The fact you gave something for free, they will have a hard time canceling your service after wards as they will feel guilty. Plus it makes the jobs look better when you do both yards side by side.

The goal here is to get everyone on just the block. No driving, no time wasted, the entire street as yours to show up, park, and mow for the day. The most money, the least advertising and the least expenses.

Even offer regular customers a free job if they recommend you to someone else on the street.

For me, instead of driving all over town, doing one car dealer here n there. And wasting time, gas, maintenance on the truck. I go to just a row of dealers, park, and work all day. Has worked great for me for 11 yrs. Even moving and re-setting up the company 4 times, always works.

Do a good job in a neighborhood and neighbors will recommend you….start by offering a short free service.
