Is there anything else I will need besides the jobs and the equipment… also how much do you typically charge to do snow removal by a snow thrower doing an average driveway and sidewalks…. if there’s any other advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Try your county courthouse for the business license. Give them a call and if they don’t issue them they should be able to tell you who does. And if you are planning on doing any type of weed control or fertilizer applications on lawns you will need to check with the Department of Agriculture for licensing requirements in your area. Many lawn care companies determine their pricing based on square footage. You just need to figure out how long it will take you on each specific job and base your rate on that. Figure in your time, gas, equipment use, etc. Good luck on your new business.
