One of the best thins about starting a lawn care business is that you can start small and grow as big as you please.
You need a mower. Whether it be a zero turn mower, a regular riding mower, or a push mower, you will need one.
Things that make you look more professional and/or legit:
1. Try buying a magnetic sign, you can buy them blank at Circuit City, Best Buy, Staples, etc. and print them out at home, or you can have one made at Kinko’s etc. Magnetic signs allow you to use one vehicle for home & work instead of just 1 without a logo or just 1 with a logo 24/7.
2. A trailer. This is usually necessary if you don’t have a truck. It’s also nice if you do have a truck so you don’t have to wear yourself out getting your mower in and out of the bed (assuming its a riding mower).
3. Hedge trimmers, weed eaters, etc. – Nice tools to tidy up the job & make the yard look nice.
4. Gloves – protects your hands
5. Insurance – Always a plus, and customers will like the peace of mind, just incase. $1 million liabiliy insurance through American Family generally runs around $500/year.
Kristen has really done a good job answering this –
I can add –
for advertising -
make up flyers – put them on windshields of cars at the mall
also make up flyers to put in your local “Quick Check” with the tear off phone numbers –
you can also attach flyers to the outside of mailboxes (don’t put them inside – its against the law)
First off you should change your name. You should maybe call yourself Juan.
Yep,

Just say no Espanol Senor and your a guaranteed success.
