Compare prices with other lawn care specialists. You can charge by the hour or by the area. Its up to you. Set your prices, be firm and don’t change the price because somebody says your too high. Do a good job and everybody will be happy.

What a great idea for your friend and you to help others this summer. I am a landscaper and designer. There are a couple of things to think about. Think about your overall plan. Do you have access of a truck to carry your lawn mower and other equipment, or are you just thinking about doing your business in your local neighborhood? Whatever your situation is, don’t think about making money first. Think about client satisfaction. Pleasing your customers by doing high quality work, will make them want you to come back again. There is also a wonderful phrased used in small business, word of mouth. If you please a customer, they will tell others about you and your excellent work.
As far as pricing, check out what lawn care companies in your location are charging. This is getting a feel of your competitors. It doesn’t matter what age you are, it is the quality of work and how you handle yourself around your customers.
