What can a lawn care service do?

lawn care

Me and a buddy of mine are thinking of starting up a lawn care business.
I know in summertime you can cut grass, trim hedges… but what can you do in the fall/winter? In the fall rake leaves I guess, but anything else?

Spring – aerate and get lawns ready for summer, mulch gardens, weed, etc. Offer fertilizing all year round (and learn what to apply when).

Winter is tough depending on where you live. Clearing snow comes to mind if you are in the north.

Learn all you can about landscaping, lawn care, and flowers and you should find plenty of business. Remember to blow off walks and driveways when you are done cutting (no one likes to see messy walkways, etc.), buy an edger for that professional look.

Spring is a good time to offer power washing (people getting the grime off their houses from the winter), though it can be a fulltime job.

Just be sure to educate yourself about lawns and how to tend them.
